Learn more about school-based counseling.
Welcome
We understand that being a parent can be challenging. Your child's emotional and mental health is of utmost importance to us. To provide the best possible support, we have partnered with licensed therapists and counselors who will be available at school to work closely with students.
In-school counseling offers a unique opportunity for your child to receive personalized and confidential support in a familiar and comfortable environment. These counseling sessions are designed to help students navigate through various emotional, behavioral, and psychological challenges they may encounter during their school years.
The therapists will work with each student individually, tailoring their approach to address specific concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, social skills, family dynamics, and academic difficulties. By engaging in these counseling sessions, your child will have the chance to develop coping mechanisms, improve emotional regulation, build self-esteem, and enhance resilience.
Once your child has signed up, we begin taking proactive steps to ensure the emotional well-being of that student. By addressing any emotional or behavioral issues, we aim to promote a healthier learning environment for everyone and contribute to your child's overall academic success.
Rest assured that the counseling process will be conducted with the utmost care and professionalism. We will work collaboratively with school staff to provide a holistic approach to support your child's well-being both in and outside the counseling sessions.
Our in-school counseling services are covered by South Carolina Medicaid Healthy Connections for eligible students. If you believe your child could benefit from these counseling services or have any questions regarding the process.
We are committed to fostering a nurturing and supportive educational journey for your child, and in-school psychotherapy counseling is just one of the ways we are working to achieve this.
Thank you for your trust and partnership in ensuring the best possible outcomes for your child's mental health and academic success.
